¡Hola y bienvenidos a todos!

I am originally from Mexico, but was raised in a small town in West Texas (Dumas, TX). I attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, and I was a member of their cross country and a four time National Champion track team. While at Wayland, I studied abroad in Mexico (Mexico City & the Yucatan Peninsula) and Costa Rica the following year. After a wonderful experience  in both places I knew I wanted to share my knowledge and love for the Hispanic language and culture with students.

I began my teaching career as an inclusion and ESL assistant in West Texas. I then taught Spanish and coached boys cross-country in a middle school in Lubbock, TX.

I look forward for a great fifth year at Walsh. My goal is to provide a meaningful and relevant language experience for our students, and help them have a purpose for learning Spanish and become long-life learners.

Durango, Mex.
